The Alaskan King Crab is here!

The Alaskan King Crab is here!

The First fall harvest of Alaskan Red King Crab are now arriving at the grocery stores. The Red Crab are also ready for the crab boil at a more economical cost. Brought to the tanks still living from the boat aqua tank and sold by the kilo. I had to push my way through the huge Asian contingency at T&T to get at least one crab. One restaurant owner was yelling, he will take all that’s left. The sale is over. I did get a few large red crab legs for a quick seafood Steamer pot. I remember being shown the many off the beat and track valley rivers and trails that were once transportation routes for the many mines that were situated all through this area. Some of the mines had natural hot springs and gardens that flourished to bath and feed the hungry miners. This one particular backwoods mine still had a...

Table Hopping with thekitchenman.

Table Hopping with thekitchenman. When I get to visit a new area eatery that I’ve been told about or just happen find and old diner or golf course  or resort restaurant of interest. It’s super finding so many family run stores with hand crafted food items and pantry items while checking out the back roads here in Woodstock and the surrounding farming counties. The great drives over the open county roads is pleasant and sets you up to get a destination well rested and ready to explore. So far taking the old highways and back roads in to Ayr, Guelph, Cambridge,...
