Bruschetta or window bread is always welcome as a nice appy. I have found that as a simple item to assemble, nothing is tastier than some scrumptious roasted tomato bruschetta toasts. Cheap and cheerful way to use up some stale baguette and those ripening tomatoes. Start with some day old bread and cut into squares or rectangles. Old focaccia bread works great.
